Sarasota Florida, 9/14/2016 - Sarasota Luxury Home Builder Steve Murray of Murray Homes, prepares Fireball Run team Hope & Glory for the first leg of the Fireball Run adventure race and fundraiser by attending a pre-mission briefing at United States Representative Vern Buchanan's Sarasota Office.

During the briefing, Steve Murray and other local competitors, received information about the first leg of the race. 2016 will be the 10th Anniversary of the Fireball Run, spanning 8 days and over 2,000 miles, as teams race to locate "America’s most obscure places & historic artifacts". To show support for their favorite team, the public can vote for their team on the Fireball Run website. The top voted team will receive a prize at the end of the rally.

As in all previous years, organizers of the event are seeking to raise money and awareness for missing children. Money raised will support America's largest active recovery effort of missing children, the http://childrescuenetwork.org/.

Each team will distribute 1,000 missing child flyers across the country as they traverse the 2,000 mile course. This year Team Hope and Glory will be distributing flyers in an effort to locate Jennifer Marteliz of Tampa Florida, who was last seen on November 15th 1982.

The father-son duo of John Murray, CEO of Murray Homes and Steve Murray, President of Murray Homes, make up team Hope & Glory, one of the 40 teams that will be participating in this year's race. The event, is also an adventure-travel television series, and episodes will be available online.

Beginning on Friday, September 23rd, the first leg of the race is from Western New Your, To Amesbury Massachusetts.

Steve Murray had this to say about the race,” The Fireball Run is a great event that goes way beyond just having an exciting time. While nothing could be better than competing with the other teams and putting my driving skills from SLR Motorsports to good use,  the fact that we will part of a larger effort to help find missing children and raise awareness to the issue is great. Support generated by the Fireball run, has helped contribute to the recovery of 44 missing children. We are looking forward to this year's race. Remember, don't forget to vote for Team Hope & Glory!
