A Modern Coastal Condo Remodel at The Savoy in Downtown Sarasota

This completed condo remodel at The Savoy in downtown Sarasota reflects what is possible when thoughtful design, structural coordination, and precise execution come together in an upper-floor renovation.

Murray Homes completely reimagined the dated mid-century residence into a refined, modern coastal retreat with open living spaces, clean architectural lines, and a calm, elevated palette. Interior walls were removed to improve flow, ceiling heights were maximized where possible, and nearly every surface was refreshed to create a lighter, more intentional home.

The redesign allows the condo’s strongest features to lead: Sarasota Bay views, natural light, and the owner’s curated art collection. Instead of competing with those elements, the architecture and finishes support them with a streamlined, gallery-like feel.

At the center of the home, the kitchen was rebuilt with custom cabinetry, integrated appliances, and modern finishes that balance daily function with a clean entertaining space. The result is a kitchen that feels connected to the main living area while still performing at the level expected in a high-end Sarasota remodel.

Renovating on the fifth floor required detailed planning and careful coordination, from craning materials into place to working through structural and logistical constraints within an occupied building. Murray Homes’ experience with complex Sarasota remodels, custom cabinetry, structural renovation, and high-end finishes helped turn those challenges into a clean, highly resolved final result. Murray Homes has been building and remodeling exceptional homes in the Sarasota area for more than 20 years, with award-winning renovations and remodels across many of the region’s most desirable communities.

Today, this Savoy condo feels open, modern, and deeply connected to downtown Sarasota and the bayfront lifestyle — a sophisticated coastal home designed for the way the owners live now.
