Murray Homes Featured in Modern Home Builders Magazine
We’re excited to share that Murray Homes was recently featured in Modern Home Builders Magazine, a national publication that highlights standout companies shaping the future of home design and construction. To be selected among the industry’s top innovators is an incredible honor—and even more meaningful because it reflects the work we’re doing right here in our own backyard: Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and Florida’s Gulf Coast.
The feature shines a light on what we do best—building and remodeling highly customized, architecturally driven homes that embrace modern design while honoring the coastal lifestyle. Whether it’s a clean-lined, open-concept layout on the bay or a smart, storm-ready retreat behind the gates of Lakewood Ranch, we design every project with the same priorities in mind: comfort, beauty, and resilience.
“It’s not just about building houses,” said company president Steve Murray in the article. “It’s about creating homes that reflect how people want to live—homes with warmth, functionality, and a real connection to their environment.”
Built for the Gulf Coast, Designed for You
The article highlights our signature approach to coastal contemporary design, with particular focus on our seamless indoor-outdoor living solutions, energy-efficient building practices, and ability to balance stunning modern aesthetics with durability that holds up to the realities of Florida’s climate. That means designing homes that can take the heat, handle the storms, and still look timeless for decades to come.
We were especially proud to see the story recognize our presence across some of the region’s most prestigious communities—Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Bird Key, Lakewood Ranch, and beyond.
Awards and Accolades That Reinforce the Vision
This national spotlight comes on the heels of some recent regional recognition as well. Murray Homes was honored at the South East Building Conference (SEBC) with a Grand Aurora Award and a Silver Aurora Award for excellence in custom homebuilding. Add to that our 15-time Best of Houzz awards for both design and client service, and it’s clear that our commitment to quality is being noticed—by both the national design community and the homeowners we serve every day.
Looking Ahead
With over 25 years building in Sarasota and more than 120 custom homes completed, we’re incredibly proud of the legacy we’re continuing to build—literally. Our team is growing, our capabilities are evolving, and our passion for bringing dream homes to life is as strong as ever.
