historic siesta key

The overall goal was to build a V-Zone, hurricane resistant main home, connecting to the guest house via a pool, outdoor living area and deck space.

This is the second Murray Home build for this client after they fell in love with the Point of Rocks location. The long, narrow, waterfront lot had an existing 1912 cottage structure on it, which had been previously been owned by the Palmer family. Murray Homes worked with Gregg Hall to assign historic designation and once approved, the structure was refurbished to create a stunning guest house.

The clients travelled to the Panhandle and researched coastal communities, loved the Victorian / seaside architecture and came back with ideas, which were translated to the final design style.

The resulting home has a cottage look with shiplap and colors and roof blending seamlessly with the historic guest house, landscape and stunning waterfront location. The main home is now reaching completion.
